The kiln drying process insures that the firewood has the perfect moisture content for optimum burning. The difference is very dramatic, the heat output is amazing when compared to regular firewood. The flames are also much brighter and those seemingly fewer hardwood logs burn 2-3 times longer than other firewood.Wood is kiln dried to 9%-16% moisture content. This is the best in the industry for dryness, killing insects and mold spores and yet not over-dried for maximum fire duration effect.
